My Musical Motifs

Summary of my musical projects:

I started practicing music when I was about 5 year old. The beginning was very difficult. Often, reading musical notation was quite challenging.

In June of 2016, I started recording my original musical scores for games and other projects:

Dream Theater
Dream Theater's music is one of major influences in my daily practice.

Jordan Rudess Online Conservatory

I created 3 separate pages in which I list all conservatory exercises. Each week, I practice 2 or 3 new exercises and record on YouTube.

Jordan Rudess is a famous virtuoso of keyboard music. Most people know him from Dream Theater and his progressive rock style. He is also a great music teacher. Currently, I'm enrolled in his Online Conservatory. There are many very advanced keyboard exercises on that site that I practice for long hours.

On my YouTube channel there are other songs that I play on my bass and keyboard:

Ear Training with Steve Vai

Steve Vai (http://www.vai.com/) is one of the greatest guitar players. For Steve Vai song recordings I do not use any music notation. The list of songs is on my Bass Curriculum page

Ear Training with X-Files by Mark Snow

This is my cover of the X - Files theme by Mark Snow.
I figured it out without using any music notation.

Last week Mr. Jordan Rudess sent me video feedback on the pieces I have been learning from Jordan Rudess Online Conservatory. I this it is amazing to be able to interact with Mr. Rudess.

Comments from Jordan Rudess (March 2016)

The curriculum developed by Jordan Rudess is a great resource. It is also very motivating to hear  comments and suggestions from the Master himself and from other musicians.

I will be incorporating exercises presented in answers from Jordan into my daily practice routine.
